Pen Your Weekly Reflection: The Holistic Pine Opens Submissions for Weekly Vichar

Introducing "Weekly Vichar": A Thought a Week. A Voice Forever.

The Holistic Pine proudly launches its newest open-genre submission series — Weekly Vichar — a vibrant, theme-driven writing project that invites voices from across India and beyond to reflect, write, and get published every single week.

In a world rushing forward, Weekly Vichar offers a moment of thoughtful pause — a space where writers, poets, thinkers, and everyday observers of life can respond to a new idea or theme every week, in any genre or style. Whether your thoughts arrive as poetry, prose, reflections, letters, or lyrical essays, your expression is welcome here.

Each Sunday, The Holistic Pine announces a fresh Vichar — a theme or thought — as an invitation to engage, reflect, and write. Writers are given a full week to shape their response and submit it for publication.

The vision is simple — a thought a week, and a voice forever. This isn’t just about writing; it’s about reflection, connection, and the gentle power of words in shaping how we experience the world.

🌀 Week 1 Theme: "War on Terrorism"

Just a few hours ago, the Indian Army launched a series of coordinated, precision strikes against the Pakistan-sponsored headquarters of some of the most infamous terrorist organisations in the world. The strike happened just after midnight. As the news spread, especially after sunrise, there is evidently a massive attempt from the side that backs terrorism to distort the news and to weaken the morale of those involved in the fight against terror.

India has long been a witness to the devastation caused by terrorism—from the painful scars of 26/11 in Mumbai to the sacrifices of soldiers in Kashmir, from bombings in markets to the silent traumas endured by families across the country. The “War on Terrorism” is not just a political phrase—it is a lived experience for millions of Indians.

Certainly, the war against terrorism is a complicated matter. Those who use terrorism as a tool, often never shy away from using religion as a cover. They operate by instilling fear in the minds of not just their victims but also on the entire world population.

For Week 1 of Weekly Vichar, we invite writers to reflect on this ongoing struggle—not just through the lens of loss, but also through the spirit of unity, strength, and healing. How has terrorism shaped our society, our memories, our everyday lives? What does peace mean in a country that continues to fight back—not just with weapons, but with words, ideas, and democratic resolve?

We welcome poems, essays, short stories, and reflections that explore:

  • Personal encounters or memories of events

  • The emotional or psychological toll on communities

  • The bravery of ordinary citizens and uniformed personnel

  • The socio-political complexities of India's battle against terrorism

  • The spiritual or cultural responses to violence and fear

You may write about a specific incident, the emotional toll of conflict, a personal story of survival, or offer philosophical or imaginative meditations. Responses can be poetic, journalistic, fictional, or hybrid in style.

This theme seeks to amplify voices that question, mourn, remember, and heal.

We welcome powerful expressions that promote understanding, peace, dialogue, and an uncompromising stance against all evil.

✍🏽 Your voice can honour, question, remember, and rebuild. Let it be heard.
