Ans - Yes, there has been a lot of change in my personality because there are times when I need to take hard calls for my magazine as a Founder and an Editor, which has also made me feel more confident and creative than before.
7. The Thought Lantern has grown from a social media page into a vibrant literary hub with magazines, workshops, and open-mics—what were the biggest challenges in making this leap, and how did you overcome them?
Ans - Yes, there were several challenges involved, which started with ideation, then finding the right writers, and building that audience base.
Now, we believe that Thought Lantern is getting the right things, we are on a good path, and people are trusting us. Our September edition has become the star of the show, and my team is the biggest guiding and supporting force, along with a big thanks to my family and friends.
8. Your mission emphasizes inclusivity and celebrating everyday voices—how do you ensure that both emerging and established writers feel equally valued in this community, and how can one contribute towards it?
Ans - That is a great question. Here at Thought Lantern, we value new and established writers on an equal footing, and we don’t want to make anyone feel left behind. That’s why the stage is always open for new ideas and creativity. And for me, every voice at Thought Lantern matters the most. When it comes to how one can contribute, they can actively participate in the monthly submissions, and then it will be published by us.
9. For aspiring contributors, what is the process to share their work with The Thought Lantern?
Ans - Based on our theme, as it keeps changing every month, a poster is published on our Instagram page, where we give an open call to the writers, then they can submit to our email ID, and every write-up is welcome.
10. Could you give us a glimpse into the upcoming edition—what themes or highlights can readers look forward to?
Ans - From Lord Ram’s victory to the festival of lights, with a blend of short stories, poetry, and in-depth articles, will make the next edition of Thought Lantern even more beautiful and read-worthy.
As a reader, you can expect diverse content from our writers, and how the Indian culture is spreading far and wide.
11. Looking ahead, what is your ultimate vision for The Thought Lantern—do you see it growing into a community, a larger publication, or something entirely different?
Ans - Well, I would say that I want to see it as a blend of cultures, community, publication, and a place where, irrespective of your age group, you can come forward and express your thoughts that have been lying in some corner of your heart and mind. Yes, I am manifesting every moment for Thought Lantern.
